The last couple of days have been alot better for me mentally which is a good thing. Yesterday our temp got to a decent level and the sun came out, that lifted my spirits a good deal. I made some heart shaped cupcakes for my grand daugther and sent one to all my buddies on C’ville even if it was only a picture of one. My oldest daugther wanted a real one but the 8 hour round trip wasn’t in my plans for yesterday.

My Valentine’s day got better when my husband got home. In his hot little hands was a nice sized box of Russel Stover turtles and a single pink rose in this really cute vase. He didn’t forget our little Valentine’s either. He got Becky, Gi and Becky’s boyfriend’s little girl each a small red plastic heart filled with M&M’s. Just what the mom to be needed, candy!

Tomorrow is our 25th wedding anniversary and hubby has taken the day off to spend with me. I told him a few weeks ago I didn’t want to do anything special, just to spend some time together. I had to laugh at him a bit today because he’s forgotten how many years we’ve been married. He kept thinking that we got married the year that NC State won their last National Championship. (No dear, we got married the year before that!) It was a fun arguement and I won even if I did have to find our marraige license to proove it.

A bit of a Funk

Not sure if it’s the weather that’s got me a bit down or because I haven’t heard about the new job yet but I haven’t been my usual cheerful self lately. Hadn’t even done much on the crochet front till last night when I all but forced myself to work more on the layette I’m doing for my daughter’s new baby to be.

I finally got everything done but the baby blanket this morning.

The temp has been dropping all day today and we are now down to a balmy 39, my dad in Northern Virginia was expecting some snow. We are supposed to get rain but if the temp drops anymore we may wind up with a surprise.

Job Interview

Yes, me who has been out of work voluntarily for just over a year has a job interview today at 1 PM. I had to go to Sears the other day to order an owner’s manual for a sewing machine that I was given and noticed on the way out the door that they where hiring. I applied on line and what I thought was neat is that I was able to set up my interview time on line as well.

Some of you know that I had a very long history with Walmart, some of it good some of it not so good. Before I left them I wrote up a resume and posted it on one of the job sites available as well as saving a copy on the computer. (or so I thought) I was doing my nightly thing which has been talking to Wanda and looking for the resume, all I could find is where my daugther had saved hers. Mine no where to be found!

She and I where discussing my options for redoing the missing document including rewriting the entire thing which really didn’t appeal to me at all. Out of the blue I remembered about having posted it to that job site. (Sometimes I think of the wildest things while she and I talk.) In a matter of a half hour I had totally recovered the file by doing a good old copy and paste and had it printed out and ready to go for today.

Everybody wish me luck, I need all I can get and thank you Wanda for just being there for me.
