Round Ripple

One of my crochet buddies has gone round ripple crazy and I’d been watching her blog and seeing all the neat RR’s that she’s done and decided to try one. I’m really bad for not reading the patterns well and started off with 24 points instead of 12, frogged it twice then noticed that row 3 was totally wrong. I’m using what’s  left over of my daughter’s layette to start this one for a friend my my older daughter in Virginia, did 10 rows in nearly an hour. Here is what I have so far and quite pleased with it.

Finally I have some crochet news to report! I started on this layette in January for my youngest daugther who is expecting in September and finally finished it this afternoon.

Going back to work has really slowed down my projects and I was afraid that I would put this on the back burner like an afghan I started many, many moons ago. Nice to know that I can finish something I’ve started.

A post and just a post!

I know, I know, I haven’t posted in a really long time and it’s time I got caught up on a lot of things. For starters my job seems to be going pretty good, I just don’t like my schedule for next week but I’ll live through it. At least it’s not the 3 to Midnight that I used to have to work.

It snowed here this morning which is a bit freaky for this part of the country and the beginning of April. I may even have to turn on the electric blanket when I finally crawl into bed tonight, we are supposed to have a low of 25. I’ll be glad when we finally have warm weather on a regular basis.
