About Me

I live in North Carolina in a little spot called Cedar Grove. I’ve been married to the same man for nearly 25 years, between us we have 3 daugthers, 6 grandchildren and one grandbaby on the way.

  1. Hi, I saw that you have finished the 63 More Easy-to-Crochet Pattern Stitches afghan. I was wondering if you had any pattern errors/problems with any of the squares. I am doing the afghan now for my daughter and have had to replace one of the squares so far and now I have come across another one that is not working out. Thanks for any help/suggestions you can give me.

  3. Hi,
I love reading your blog. I have an old singer model#66 that I love. My mom cleaned it with a solvent and the decals are damaged. It is hurtfull to look at the machine now. Any advise on how i could fix this would be appreciated.
    thank you

  4. Hello,
I came across your website while looking for replacement decals for Singer sewing machines. Can you please provide me with the company or person you bought your replacement decals for your Singer 66? I cannot find them anywhere!
    Thanks,
    Leo

  5. Can you please tell me where you got the decals for your machine. I have a 1904 crank handle machine I would like to refinish and I need to get the decals. I can’t find them anywhere. Thanks

    • Thank you for asking about the decals, the company I used is no longer making them. They had a mishap with their printer that is far too expencive for them to fix. They where H&R Associates and their web site is still up with only one set of decals left for sale. http://206.248.136.107/decals/ It hurt me deeply as well, I had one more machine I wanted to do.

      • If you had a good picture of the decals (that’s the hard part), maybe the company has the good pictures you could purchase and then get decal transfer paper online and make your own. I was going to get some of the transfer paper and try to make my own, but haven’t been able to get good (or clear) enough pictures to try and make my own. I have 3 red eyes, sphinx, tiffany(or art deco) all from about 1906-1910 and am restoring them.

  6. I was excited to discover you had restored an old Singer sewing machine. I just picked up a few to restore and saw you had purchased decals for them. Where can I purchase the red eye decal set? I’d appreciate any help finding a company making them.

  7. Sorry, I just noticed others had asked the same question. I’m sorry to hear they are no longer being produced.
